To our valued patients,
Thank you very much for your patience with us during these uncertain times. We certainly hope that you all are continuing to be safely at home and work and that your health has been good. We have some good news for you. Our office will be open as of next week for preventive work and elective but urgent dental care. We have safely been seeing some of you for the past couple of weeks for emergency treatment only and feel very confident in the changes that we have implemented to keep you and our staff safe from harm during the Covid19 epidemic. As we told you in our last letter, you will see more plexiglass barriers, humming air scrubbers, thermometers, and lots and lots of antibacterial hand sanitizers throughout the whole office. The doctors and staff are dressed in more PPE such as face shields, different types of masks, head coverings, as well as the usual gowns and gloves that you are familiar with.
We will be asking you more questions on the phone regarding your health, medical changes, insurance changes, email addresses and phone numbers due to the fact that we are now “paperless”. You will be asked to call our office when you arrive in the parking lot and one of our staff will come out, take your temperature, and give you antibacterial sanitizer for your hands. You will then be escorted to your individual treatment room. Our systems have been designed to allow you one way only through our office to follow the physical distancing and other protocols that we have implemented for your safety and that is required by law.
We will have to adjust our treatments in dental hygiene to eliminate as many aerosols as possible at this time. The ultrasonic machines will not be used yet and we are required to forego the polish which many of you have been looking forward to. Our experienced gentle hygienists will be here for you and will take excellent care of any gum problems that you may be experiencing because of a few extra months without your professional routine hygiene appointments.
Dr Barraza and Dr. Adams will be able to perform many of the dental procedures that you have been diagnosed with safely with additional controls of High vacuum, special isolation techniques to expose only the teeth that need treatment, and other safety precautions. The doctors and staff continue to keep your safety paramount as you have come to expect.
Please be patient for a little longer with us as we continue to increase the number of hygiene appointments necessary to get you all back on your regular schedules of professional cleanings. Dr Barraza, Dr Adams and staff are looking forward to seeing you again and taking excellent care of your oral health. We have missed you!
